Any Given Sunday... minot air force base

MAD MAX MULLEN TOUR-   It was just another day in the life of hard charging U.S. Army Ranger Sgt Howard 'Mad Max' Mullen, his commander was jacked up, the result of Rangers being involved in local shenanigans.  As a result Max and the other members of his Ranger unit were being subjected to weekend forced road marches... their commanders solution to lack of memory retention... retention loss that demanded that this group of hardcore warriors would remember that the errs of one... effect all.  The U.S. Army's elite Ranger Forces live by a creed, one of the elements to their creed is an absolute insistance that Rangers perform their duties and live their lives in a 'Ranger Buddy' manner.  That it's all about the man on your left and on your right... and when a unit allows it's own to err... it's a cancer that effects all... destroys the organization... it's the Ranger Way...

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY...

Howard (Mad Max)  could have done without the weekly forced road marches... but, there was no doubt that the commander was obtaining the desired effect.   The members of the Ranger unit were coming to grips with the reality that they needed to police themselves better...  'Ranger Buddy Up'... be responsible and ensure that fellow Rangers stopped pulling the 'Stupid Trigger'.

As Max walked to the rally point for the remedial forced road march he noticed one of the unit medics moving supplies off of a loading dock and into a truck...  The medic was moving rapidly, sparing no time to get the job done.   At first thought Max wrote off the docs rapid arms and legs moveent to being late... after all the march was just minutes away.  As he got closer to the doc he noticed morhine being moved around... and heard the doc shout out...

We're going to war Max...

Max thought to himself... great... forced road march and then an exercise on top of it all...  It was clearly time for the unit to smarten up, Ranger Buddy Up... this was remedial stuff was getting out of hand...

24 hours later Mad Max Mullen and the members of the United States Army Rangers were dropping out of the sky from less then 500 feet off the deck of Granada's Int'l Airport... being shot at by Cuban's as they floated to earth...

Mad Max wants to share with the Minot Air Force Base 91st Missile Wing Team and all, his reflections on having spent the week with Air Force Global Strike Command's Barksdale-Malmstrom and Minot Air Force Bases.   As we work with him to find 'a few more volunteer days' so that we can get him to F.E. Warren and Whiteman AFB's to round out his American300 NEVER QUIT SERIES Tour we'll also be posting a special from Max by Max.   Stay tuned... and Stay Alert... Ya just NEVER know!
